DESTRUCTION DARIUS is a game that promises to be a blast. The main concept of the game is to blow stuff up and win, and things don’t really get much deeper than that. The main character Darius has destruction on his mind and little else, but fortunately he also has plenty of cool weapons close to hand to help him get the job done.

The fact that there are two different rule sets that can be selected for each level of DESTRUCTION DARIUS is a very nice touch and helps to add an extra element to the game. The main aim of the game is to complete its level of the game by literally blasting your way through it using the huge range of weapons at your disposal. Unfortunately, many of the levels have been badly designed and this often means that they are actually impossible to complete.

DESTRUCTION DARIUS is a game that promises so much and simply falls short, which is likely to be disappointing for many gamers. But in all fairness, DESTRUCTION DARIUS was only really intended by the creators to discover whether or not the gaming concept would work. Although the game needs quite a bit of polishing, it offers a strong gaming premise and it will be worth looking out for the second instalment of the game when it becomes available.
